Lynne Gibbs  - Advisory Board Member

 

Lynne Gibbs is a retired academic research librarian. She is a volunteer mental health advocate supporting families and engaging in initiatives to reform the broken mental health system of care -- locally, statewide, and nationally.  She is the NAMI Santa Barbara County Public Policy Chair; is President of California Advocates for Treatment, a statewide advocacy forum focused on serious mental illness.  She serves on an expert panel of the CMS (federal Medicare and Medicaid Services), recommending on mental health measures and standards.  In addition, she serves on the SB BLISS Advisory Board (Santa Barbara Bridges and Links to Integrated Supportive Services), and acts as the NAMI Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Coordinator, organizing and presenting peer and family member panel presentations to law enforcement.
